Sylt is known to be the island of the rich and the beauty in Germany.
There is a lot of action around, but walking or biking a little further from the main village, Westerland,
one can also find some places more typical for the northern islands, where one discovers the charming thatched houses
and lonely beaches for a relaxing afternoon.
Also, it is said that Sylt is the place with the highest density of very good restaurants in Germany. So there should be plenty of choices for every taste of activity.
If you have not had enough of dancing and drinking there are also plenty bars and discotheques on the island.
Although we plan to go rather for the relaxing part, we are far away to impose this to everyone, since we know
that there are some very active friends around that for sure would love to do some of the fun sports on the island.
If you like to fly a kite, plan to bring it along and you will find many friends.
The idea is really that everybody is free to do what he likes. Probably there will be some cornerstones in the program, like having tee and cake in the afternoon for those who would like to join. But that's about it. During the wedding there will be plenty of time to form small groups that could do some planning together for the island trip, that's for sure.
